Dynamic Pricing

Questions related to families & seniors can be found below.

A dynamic pricing model is – as the name suggests – dynamic and continuously recalculates ski pass prices. An algorithm calculates the price. The current price is made up of various factors – season phase (high or low season), day of the week, booking date, current booking status in the webshop and, from a certain point onwards, the weather forecast. In any case, the earlier you book your pass, the cheaper the price. The price seen is always the cheapest, and it will not go down.

In contrast to the previous system with fixed prices, the dynamic pricing model does justice to various price perceptions, which means we are again appealing to a greater number of guests with a decreased willingness to pay.

The dynamic pricing model can also direct guest flows, making the on-site experience even better for you as a skier. The aim is to utilize the facilities and areas of Adelboden-Lenk more evenly, to make skiing more attractive in terms of price during the low season and to reduce waiting times in the valley and at facilities in the ski areas.

The following pass categories are priced dynamically:

  • Half-day to 14-day pass and 20-day pass
  • Sledging pass Betelberg, Tschenten (without night sledging) and Elsigen
  • 5 in 7 days and 10 in 14 days

Excluded:

  • Single and return rides in all sub-areas of the Adelboden-Lenk ski region
  • Sledging passes for Engstligenalp and Sillerenbühl
  • All summer passes
  • Season passes for residents and Top4
  • Scorecards
  • Group passes
  • Ski passes with special categories
  • Winter hiking passes

Generally, the earlier you book, the cheaper your pass. The price will not go down.

You also save money as a guest if you book outside the high season or for lower-demand days (e.g., weekdays instead of weekends). We recommend buying your ski pass in the webshop because guests who book early benefit from lower prices.

You can find the current prices in our webshop. The price at our ticket offices always corresponds to the daily online price.

Yes. All ski passes are available at all ticket offices at the daily price displayed online.

You can find the current daily price in the webshop at www.adelboden-lenk.ch.

The earlier you book, the cheaper the price. The pass price will not be lower if you wait.

No. Unlike in the past, pass prices are the same regardless of the sales channel.

You save time, don’t have to queue and enjoy more twists and turns on the slopes. You can load your pass directly onto a SKIDATA data carrier (Adelboden-Lenk or another ski resort with the skidata system) and pass directly through the turnstile without queuing. Also, you will get the best pass price if you book early.

Our dynamic pricing model is based on the principle of supply and demand. While supply is basically fixed, demand fluctuates and therefore the price. The maximum price for a specific day and a specific ticket is defined by the algorithm based on various factors. Demand and time of purchase play a key role in this. This means that you as a guest actively influence the price development and the maximum price for a specific day and ticket. Strong demand shortly before the desired ski day has a greater influence on price development than 2 to 4 weeks before.

In winter 2023/24, a one-off sales price of CHF 88 was achieved. This price is within the defined range. We expect and assume that the maximum price in winter 2024/25 will settle in a similar range.

Just like last winter, the same applies this year: the earlier you book, the cheaper your ticket will be, and the price will no longer fall. All prices for all tickets can be viewed transparently at any time in our webshop. The price will only rise as long as there is demand. We therefore always strive to offer the most attractive price possible at all times.

An algorithm sets the price. Factors affecting the price calculation are the seasonal phase, day of the week, booking date, current demand and the weather forecast from a certain point onwards. In any case, those who book early benefit. The price seen is always the cheapest, and it will not go down.

The algorithm continuously recalculates ski pass prices. It takes account of various factors such as seasonal phase (high or low season), day of the week, booking date, current booking levels for the corresponding day and the weather forecast. All pass prices shown for that day remain the same.

No. Today’s pass prices remain the same. The displayed price for the current day does not change during operating hours (either online or at the ticket office) and is valid for the entire ski day.

No. The currently displayed price is the best possible offer. There are no last-minute deals or flash-sale reductions. The earlier you book, the cheaper your pass. The price will not go down.

Multi-day passes are also priced dynamically. For subsequent days, it is worth comparing prices. In any case, the earlier you book, the cheaper your pass. The price will not go down.

Compared to the previous pricing model with fixed prices, ski passes are now cheaper on many days. The earlier you book, the lower the pass price. You can benefit from lower prices on days with low demand (e.g., in low season or on weekdays). Prices increase due to high demand during the peak season and at weekends. In any case, those who book early benefit because the price seen is always the cheapest, and it will not go down.

This depends on many factors. If demand for ski passes on a particular day is high, the price will increase – but the earlier you book, the cheaper the price. So early bookers may pay less than before despite high demand. The algorithm continuously recalculates ski pass prices and takes account of various factors such as seasonal phase (high or low season), day of the week, booking date, the current booking levels for the corresponding day and the weather forecast.

We can’t predict that because the algorithm continuously recalculates ski pass prices. It takes account of various factors such as seasonal phase (high or low season), day of the week, booking date, the current booking levels for the corresponding day and the weather forecast. In any case, it always pays to book early. The price seen is always the cheapest, and it will not go down.

No. The group rates and the prices for schools are not priced dynamically. However, there are two different fixed rates. If you are travelling with a group, we recommend comparing the fixed group rates with the current dynamic rates in the webshop store before booking.

No. You will continue to pay a fixed price for annual and seasonal passes.

With the introduction of the dynamic pricing model, we aim for a more balanced utilization of the facilities, which will also benefit you as a seasonal/annual pass holder. You will continue to pay a fixed price for seasonal or annual passes.

Dynamic Pricing, families & seniors

Yes. Prices for children and young people are related to the dynamics of the adult pass price. The algorithm continuously recalculates ski pass prices. This takes account of various factors such as seasonal phase (high or low season), day of the week, booking date, the current booking levels for the corresponding day and the weather forecast.

In any case, it pays to book early because the pass price will not go down.

Yes, under the motto “Kids Free”, every Saturday for every 1 adult who buys a 1-day ski pass, 2 children between the ages of 6 and 15 ski for free.
